Take care when citing social media such as Facebook and X posts. They are generally not peer reviewed, not scholarly, and not archived for a significant time. Cite only original content from social media sites. For example, if you found information on X, cite that post. If you found information on a Facebook page, cite that page or post. However, if you found information through social media, you do not need to mention the social media link – cite only the original source of the content. For example, if you found information in a blog post that you found through a link on X, cite only the blog post – you do not need to mention that you found it through X.
