How can I use Library Search to find an APA reference for a journal article or book?

1. Find Library Search in My Ara or just Google "Ara Library". 

2. Enter the title of your journal article or book in the search box.

3. Change Everything to Books, eBooks & more if your title is a book or change to Journal Articles if your title is an article.

4. Click on the title you need in the results list.

5. Click on the Citation icon (look for the speechmarks) to see the APA reference. 

6. Click on Copy Citation to Clipboard to paste it in to your document.

6. You still need to check against the Ara APA Referencing Guide as it is not always perfect. Note in the example above you would need to change some of the words beginning with capital letters to lower case letters in the journal article title to conform to APA rules e.g. Diabetic foot ulcers: A review. See below the rules for referencing an article with 3 or more authors.
