Where can I find peer-reviewed articles on bowel screening in New Zealand

Searching the Library Search

  • go to Library Search 
  • enter your keywords in the search box. e.g. bowel screening Zealand.  For an indigenous perspective you could also try a search on bowel screening Māori
  • change "Everything" to "Journal articles"
  • click the Search button (A magnifyfing glass icon).
  • In the right column tick next to Peer-reviewed journals and Apply filters
  • Select the Publication Date if you need up-to-date articles e.g. Select 2015-2025 and click Refine.
  • To retain the peer-reviewed and date of publication filters for your next search click on Remember all filters.

Referencing

For any entry in Library Search you can click on the citation icon to see the APA referencing. Click on Copy citation to clipboard to paste the reference into your reference list then check it against your Ara APA Referencing guide to ensure it is correct.

Finding Government reports and statistics

For official government reports on bowel screening in New Zealand, search using Site:.govt.nz after your keywords e.g.

Using Google Scholar

 

Google scholar finds quite a few articles. Remember to filter your results to only show the last 10 years if you need up-to-date information.  Any articles that are not in full text you can copy and paste the journal article title into Library search and click on Journal articles to search most of the Ara databases at the same time.
