How can I use Perplexity AI to answer my research question?

Find Perplexity in the AI for Research - Academic Integrity and AI - Subject Guide or directly at https://www.perplexity.ai/
1. Set up an account using your Ara or personal email address. No password is needed.
2. In the bottom left corner click on your Profile name
3. Go to All Settings / Personalisation and if you need up-to-date and reliable sources add Custom instructions e.g. Find academic sources no older than 10 years
4. Under "What do you want to know?" type your research question e.g.
5. A summary answering your research question is generated. Do not copy or paraphrase from this AI generated summary. Instead check each source which is cited at the end of each paragraph and paraphrase and reference directly from within each actual source.
6. If you want to check if a journal article is peer-reviewed you can search Library Search on the journal article title. If the article is peer-reviewed it will appear underneath the author title information in Library Search e.g.
